I am such a fan of Byron Garcia! Not only because of his great achievement with the dancing prisoners...but that he proudly wears the brown scapular of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel. As a Carmelite, I am most impressed that he is a child of Our Lady and a brother Carmelite. Blessings on your good work.

Byron F Garcia, has shown a great deal of integrity in introducing his program at Cebu. On these pages and other places, he and his ideas have been derided by people who have neither tried them out nor made their own contribution to the prisoners. Yet, there are present and former Cebu prisoners who testify that this program of dance and self-discipline has changed their lives. We can see the fun the prisoners are having as they dance. Good work, Mr. Garcia. You make a difference in lives.

when relatives of these inmates are ashamed of them because they are in jail.....seeing them perform all these dance moves makes them forget that they are prisoners. They are in prison but they have fun. They are admired not of what they go to jail for but they are admired for what they did good while they are in jail. Each of them i'm sure is enjoying the dancing.. Cebuanos/ cebuanas are known here in the US for being a big fan of dancing and singing... maybe we can also explore singing
