This isn't the kind of typewriter I was looking for when I purchased it, but I had never seen an electric-with-hammers (as opposed to golfball or daisywheel) locally for only $10 before, in working condition. Snapped it up right away, no regrets.
It's lighter than the SM4 from my previous videos, if you can believe that.

  • PS-get some of that rubbery shelf paper that comes in rolls at the store and put it under your machine and it won't shift. Replaces typewriter pads that aren't made anymore. Otherwise, you can get get a big mouse pad, but it costs more.

  • I put myself through college in the 70's typing. I can still type over 100wpm on a good day but it ruined me for little portables, of which I own several. You have great rhythm, and congratulations!
