I was told that after the sculpture is complete, a compound called "WeatherTect II" is sprayed over it to help lock in the moisture. With this rain actually helps to hold the structure together over time rather than ruin it.

I need to find out how they keep the sand together. so that it doesn't dry out and crumble.
