Petula says, when she sings it she sees her own son lying before her. That's real emotion there. So powerful. It never fails to break your heart.

She shows in this video that such a performance can be emotionally exhausting and may require a short de-brief before proceeding further. Wonderful.

WOW!!!!!!....uuummmm WOW.....did I say WOW!!!!....what more can be said....WOW!!! Petula certain brought this home...she took this song got it to heaven and back...twice....WOW....and she had you hanging on until the end. Not a whole lot of singers can do that with a song like this. Did I say WOW.....WOW...what can you say?

I have only heard Petula sing on the CD of Blood Brothers. I have seen the show 5 times with different actresses, most recently Nikki Evans (the best so far) but I would love to have seen Petula on Broadway
