GO SKATEBOARDING DAY at SHIBUYA 2008

The first ever demonstration parade by skateborders was performed in Shibuya Tokyo.
To change today's skateboard scence, this promotion "Do More Skateboarding" was authorized by the government.
Event though skating was not allowed during the demonstration, many skateboarders attended to promote skateboard and this skateboarding day.
Let's develop better environment for skateboarding by ourselves!

初めてとなるスケートボーダー達によるデモ行進が東京の渋谷にて行なわれた。
現在の日本のスケートボード・シーンの現状を変えようと、国からの正式な許可を得て行なわれた普及運動「DO MORE SKATEBOARDING！」。
今回のイベントは、スケーター自らが行進する事で一般の人達にスケートボードの魅力をアピールする事を目的としているが、それと同時に参加してもらうスケーターにとっても­、これからは受け身ではなく、自分達でできる事は自分達でやっていく "Do It Yourself" の精神を持ってもらいたいという思いが込められています。他人や周囲に任せてやりたい事を叶えるのではなく、自分達の力でできる事から取り組んでいきましょう！ 僕らにできる事はまだまだあるはずです。

Even thought its not like most other go skateboarding events this one is awesome too.

I mean they dont just try to force attention to skateboarding. They also do good stuff to the envirmonment, and show that skateboarding isnt as bad as most people think. This seems like a skateoarding community that invites you, unlike many others.

Its a different feel, but I respect it all the same as the other Go Skateboard days. Raising awareness about skateboarding not being only for ruffians who didn't finish high school might be 2nd in importance to actually getting people out there in the streets.

yes, this attempted under control of Japanese Government so they just follow what police said. That's fucking gay. I think that Japanese never ever be independently. So, we, Japanese, should not wear independent T-shirt forever because we just follow what other people say so.
