This is cool. My War was one of those life changing albums for me. As a kid who loved Kiss and Motley Crue I used to read Circus and Hit Parader and all those metal magazines. Black Flag had an ad in one of those with a mail order form and knowing nothing about them I sent off 4 or 5 bucks or whatever for My War. After that my Crue days were numbered and I burned my Kiss Army draft card. And a new little punk was born!

I was born in 1991 and man, when I hear Black Flag I really wish I was born earlier. If I could go back in time and attend one of their concerts. The energy, the madness, the carnage. This is what the music of my generation lacks and I'm so jealous of the people who actually had a chance to see them.. RISE ABOVE!!

@choad1976 The irony of your story is that My War is the beginning of the Heavy Metal influence into Black Flags sound, particularly on the B Side. That being said, Kiss and Motley Crue ain't that great so I can totally understand your conversion.
