Always loved this track by The Mexican (Black Grass) off the Catskill's 'Straight Out Of The Cat Litter' Album. The fact that each instrument is introduced individually and builds made me wonder what it would be like to animate to. Just an experiment really. Slightly long, but then I had no control of the track length. Had to sit for a while listening to it over and over to get my timings right. Still love the track though which says a lot. I think I was slightly influenced by Oscar Fischinger, but he was way more abstract in his approach. I considered starting like that, but my mind can sometimes be a bit too literal. Anyway, enjoy

  • @alienhan Old school technique really. Just listened to the track a thousand times and tried to work out when each instrument came in and went out. Then when each instrument was illustrated I just did the long winded thing of time-lining the animation in Flash and removing a bit of the image on each frame. Took a while. Glad you like it.
