Robert Kysela - Killer Penalty Shot Goal

2001 Czech Extraliga Quarterfinals - Robert Kysela of HC Chemopetrol Litvinov faced off against Petr Brize of HC Sparta Praha on a called penalty shot.

In a move of brilliant creativity, Kysela stickhandles the puck backwards between his legs and roofs the puck passed a surprised and shocked Briza. This inspired Marek Malik and many imitators.

@NYRMess It's one of those things that when you're used to watch hockey, with the ads on the ice, you don't really pay attention to it after a while.

@Magnificat83 I understand man. Especially if they're no commercial breaks, teams need to find ways to bring in money. I just found it to be very distracting as an NHL fan. But better to have hockey with lots of ads than no hockey at all!

@NYRMess Well...the thing is that each team is on tv live like twice a season so they can't offer their sponsors airtime.So what they CAN offer?They do what they can in given conditions.Basically it's only adaptation on western capitalistic sport.In communism and even in 90s there were no ads at all.Not single ad since pre-game till end of post game studio.On tv during game is still waaaay less commercials compared to NHL.(I'm not sayin communism was good-NO IT WASN'T,just to be clear:)
