Nope their Geophagus, otherwise known as Earth Eaters, cause they root thru the substrate like carp looking for non existant meals unlike carp

wow i hope mine get that big too i have 1 brasiliensis male around 10cm and a female around 7 my tank is of 240liter, i forgot to ask you the size of your tank, how much liters its got??
