It seems that all the Mathis videos from about 1973-74 (with the Tongiht Show Orchestra) are the hottest Mathis vids on youtube. This seems, quite possibly, to be when Johnny Mathis was at the peak of his game. When you get that darn good it's hard to compare apples and oranges but, Johnny Mathis would be my favorite. He was born a star singer.

wonder what the sigh was at the end of this beautifully poignant love note about, he seemed to be really moved at the end, that's why I like the video with the song .Mr. Mathis has touched places in my heart that I didnot know was there ,he has this way of taking you into his world without exposing too much of himself ,in my opinion he is the best at this, I cried for an hour after seeing/hearing this the first time , The best ever, you have/will deserve every honor given to you

Not an easy song to sing and as always he mastered it and captivated the audience. He's so talented, he makes it look easy to sing this song.

Pieces of dreams by Johnny Mathis is truely his best performance. I was lucky to have seen Johnny Mathis sing in concert about 7 times now. Almost every time I've got to meet him, the first time he kissed me on my cheek (I think he was actually going to kiss me on my lips but I turned away thinking how impolite that would be for me to do that to HIM, hahaa. But I wanted to. Always been kind to let me get a picture with him & autographed it concerts later. I love Johnny Mathis .God bless

An absolutely excellent rendition of this beautiful song. Johnny paints pictures of the words of a song emitting emotion which those who truely listen can feel. He is the best ever!!!
