Spotting at John F. Kennedy International Airport

John F. Kennedy International Airport
Queens, New York
Sunday September 17, 2006

IN THIS VIDEO, you will see arrivals into Runway 13L at JFK during UN week. This was a video that I forgot that I had shot and have not shared it with you guys until now. I took many photos that day and little video, and I regret not having shot only video. You will see a handful of airlines that served JFK at the time plus at least two airlines that do not serve JFK - those airlines coming in with UN delegates on board.

If you are interested in purchasing DVDs of specific aircraft and/or of airshows, interested in anything and everything related to airshows (where the jet teams will show up, all airshow performers, airshow reports from airshows I have attended, previews of airshows I will be attending, etc.), a much more easier to navigate "version" of all of my videos, and/or everything there is related to aviation - including spotting guides to my favorite airports and military bases and aircraft factfiles, please take the time to check out Steve's Airshow World at http://www.stevesairshow.com .

  • @StealthCessnaCombats oh. well that is one shaky tripod

  • @StealthCessnaCombats I understand that. I was just stating that they used to fly to JFK and it is a shame they don't have service anymore from there hubs to JFK. Continental Airlines and United Airlines are not merged yet. They are in the merger process but a single operating certificate has not been granted yet. They are still 2 separate airlines.

  • @TheLiLD95 Newark is a huge hub for Continental Airlines. Now it's United Airlines after the merger between these two airlines. Just like the merger with Northwest and Delta Air Lines.

  • @PsuPepperoni No, he's probably using a tripod.

  • Which place were you standing?

  • i thought MEA was banned from flying into JFK because of some ban of direct flights from lebanon, was this a charter or something?

  • I miss song airlines

  • I love it! their are stil song liverys! awesome! i was on a song flight from Orlando to San Francisco then Sacromento to Atlanta and Atlanta to Orlando... then a MD-88 from Orlando to New York and Orlando-Boston. :0 atleast it was a direct flight.

  • ahhh @ 4:25 when Continental Airlines used to fly to JFK ;(

  • wow that is one steady camera hand
