Hi all,
here's another battle video of a drop-in against a random player; I liked the commentary style of my last vid so I stayed with it.
I've been exclusively playing drop-in battles for some time now (great fun), so I guess that's what my next vids will mainly be about.
As you can probably tell from the battle, my opponent wasn't too experienced; you get that a lot in drop-ins now that most people found out that if no drop-in battle was found, you end up in a quick battle :(
Note the epicness of the battle though: it's about 3000 against 2000 men in 42 and 33 units respectively; you don't get that in normal 1v1 MP.

  • i like the city battles man u should do more of them

  • @BiGMiDj3t well I'd have to go through my saved games, there ought to be one or two still in there... problem is, they only appear in campaigns, and I haven't been playing one in quite some time.

  • beautiful timing with the squares... well done! loved the gladiator music too

  • @saiedz yeah, i'm proud about that square action too... was surprised how fast those cav evaporated.

Music is about the only thing i thought was missing, but I don't know my way around anything but rock, so I browsed some "suspense music" DVD i got from a friend (originally for P&P RPGs)... I can't believe you identified where it was from!

Your music is always great, so any tips welcome :)

  • excellent as always mate!

Even though the other player was not me, it could have been...I suck mp! But after watching a few more of your vids, I may give it another try...someday, I may even win one!

  • @thenannymoh haha thanks :)

Although with the last two vids, I feel I've taken a bit of a step away from explaining tactics so much and towards more cinematics, with a bit of storytelling thrown in to keep people watching.

  • Great choice of music, too. The Gladiator soundtrack is a perfect fit for battle scenes like these. :)

  • Awesome battle!

  • @lessthanwords

    ok......thnaks for the info ;)

  • @TheNetGoblin Thanks :)

Although it's more of a perfect example of inferior tactics by my opponent I suppose ;) but that has to be taken advantage of too.

  • @Maddcap90 I think I have all settings on Ultra... but it may also be the "Volumetric Effects" option on the bottom of the graphics settings screen.
