There was a Hex on the Lakers for a reason. They corrected it, sort of in 72. Thats why they won. They Lost up until then, lost the 34th game of the streak, and lost after the 72 nseason for like 8 or 9 years for the same reason. Can you figure it out?
I appreciate that Jerry West really cared about his team and losing in the Championships alot. He didn't think of it as just a game, but he respected the game and wanted to win and cared
Elgin retired at the beginning of 1972. 1977 was in the future at that point, and I believe this is what LuigiLaker meant when he said "future hall of famer"
I agree with u buddy. Elgin Baylor deserved a title. He went through so much heartache losing to the celtics throughout the 1960's. One of the best fwds to play in the nba.

The Greatest Team in NBA History! Their 33 Game Winning Streak during that season, is STILL "The Longest Winning Streak in Professional Sports".

My only regret from the '72 Lakers season, was that perennial All-Pro and future Hall of Fame Elgin Baylor wasn't around for the world championship..
