The hindus sing for the lord, while buddhists remain silent. Either way, the supreme truth is beyond all light and darkness, beyond all definition and non-definition. However, from their point of view, sounds have a beggining and end, but silence will always be... Even in sound, there is silence--- much like the polluted sacred river Ganges, it has a lot of dirt IN IT, but the WATER is still there.
Therefore the buddhists and some others find silence more spiritual, eternal.

@ShaktipatSeer2 If you look closely, he (ashtoast) rejects the beliefs of monotheism, yet turns around and acts as if he is all-embracing in some way. Anyone who loves God will dislike atheism, because if you love goodness, you must also hate ugliness. There isn't anything nonspiritual about being angered by things, even hating some things. Many of us have been led to believe that to be enlightened is to be unaffected by anything emotional, that is a myth, though.

@ShaktipatSeer2 Like many others, he has found a philosophy that reduces obligations. I suspect it is useless to speak with him, he has no love of truth, maybe he just likes to talk and 'shoot the breeze.' In my opinion, it is only right that devotees realize that God has an impersonal aspect because everyone espouses belief in an 'omnipresent God,' which can only be possible if a person has an impersonal aspect as well.

You're really something else, buddy.

@BasketsOfApples Actually this is a relatively small one called " Lord Caitanya: His Life & Teachings " By Prabhupada
I'm not sure if you have also found this, but I have noticed that people find it very, very difficult to understand that God is both personal and impersonal. It's not a complicated idea, or at least it doesn't seem so to me.
