@Yoni1948 it's funny how his life parallels that episode, yet the episode's storyline was actually lifted from 'the jazz singer'. i'm sure the writers intentionally used mason as krusty's father for that episode since his life has so many echos to both stories.

He had three brothers who were rabbis, and he was afraid he would "destroy" his rabbi father if he told him he wanted to do something else?
Yeah, that father had all his oars in the water, sure.

I don't know who originally did the joke, but it sounds like something Jackie would say. There's an old joke about how you should never allow Germans around beer. The comedian goes on to say, look what happened the last time. They got drunk and woke up in Poland...

Saw him 3 times in person and he always floors us! He generously extends his show to over 2 hrs, loves to talk! One nite in N.J. the power went out while he was on stage during a thunderstorm. Classic fashion he started to talk about God. How many times I almost ran off the road laughing to his c.d.!
