@Itessar Unreal Engine UDK. Custom setup.

The result is nice but the fact is you need lights off what's really stressing for the eyes. Moreover, you miss the 3D factor. Playing the more tactical and terrain-dependant D&D 4E the different height levels are essential. You can get the 3D with Dwarven forge or any other system you like, but not with the projector.
Cool solution for a battlemap but not THE solution.

@JPdungeon We have sense installed a dimmer in the room so the light is not completely out. However, I do agree it is not as sweet as Dwarven forge's 3-dimensional setup, but adding in graphical magical explosions, lighting to set the scene is really effective with UDK.
