What software do you use to screen capture your desktop? Screencap your screencap.

1 byte = 8 bit. When you say 1 MiB (megabyte) upload you also mean 8 Mb (megabit) upload?
Or did you confuse yourself with MiB and Mb like everyone else? ^^

I keep getting sound skipping while streaming live, any idea?

I try to use this with league of legend but when i press F12 i got this:" since the folder is not setup" why?
-
i followed exactly what you did and double and triple checked but when i press my dxtory hot key nothing happens. It works for file output but just not direct show
-
Is dxtory better quality?
-
It's one megaBIT not megabyte.
-
I was UK had good upload. Even top companys dont do 1 meg

@Merilon3 Update: I found out I can stream only when I have File Output checked, meaning I am saving the recording while streaming... Are you able to JUST stream? Just have DirectShow Output?
-
@AidenLees this is exactly what is happening to me. I set it all up, directshow output checked, etc, but xsplit, flash media encoder, etc all show a blank black screen after pressing the hotkey. In-game, when I press the hotkey, nothing happens. The numbers also still stay green. File Output unchecked, DirectShow Output checked.
Great video! Very helpful. The only issue I have is that it seems DXtory crops my image at 1280 by 720. Very strange because it's the same size I play, record and stream.

@ReyBilingue Just double check that in game resolution is at 1280x720, also try using the percent option as well at 100% and see if that gets an uncropped video. I was talking to someone on twitter with the same problem a couple days ago and they finally did a reinstall of dxtory and that fixed the issue for them.

Keep the hard work, great couple of tutorials, very in depth and complete. Although I got a couple of questions:
-I thought the idea of using DXtory's directshow was to be able to play at fullscreen. Doesn't Xsplit stream natively from windowed games?
-What about core afinity, do you set it up for 2core Dxtory, 1core game, 1core Xsplit or something like that? Would that work?

@miyaguitube I don't understand why but if the game is in fullscreen even if using dxtory, xsplit will crash. I use dxtory to capture because in my experience it seems to be more efficient than xsplits screen capture method and I can get a high quality recording at the same time as well. I've always left the core affinity alone, if you did want to mess with that I''d probably say 1 dxtory, 1 game and 2 xsplit. Xsplit encoding the video on the fly is probably going to be the biggest resource user

Wait so if those green numbers are on the top left does that mean it's streaming?
wtfninjaman 3 months ago
@wtfninjaman no, you still have to press the hotkey to 'record' to start the actual capturing.
