AHHHHH! Why does the pianist leave out an eighth note in almost every measure? The last eighth note in the first measure is tied to an eighth note on beat one in the second measure. That first eighth note in the second measure gets omitted every time the pianist plays the riff. Uggggg.

no...i played this song on piano for many vocalists while in college a few years ago and it's played incorrectly. sorry i sound like a dick but it's just not right and you'll notice it if you listen carefully.

The voice is only good like 8% of the time, when he sustains into a vibrato. Otherwise, geeze man, you're a fellow professional performer? Surprising. Don't be afraid to actually sing on occasion. And what's up with the weird riffs? Come on man. If you really are professional, what's going on? And next time, try to be somewhat real and vulnerable, it comes across fake, pushed, and well....gay. Cheyenne Jackson is one of the few Gay men who can pull off straight. Keep workin'.

I saw him a few weeks ago when he did this show in Columbia, SC. Jon has a great voice and I loved his quirky take on the character! The Schmuel song was AMAZING!

I really liked this rendition. It has the energy and expressiveness that a lot of pieces are lacking. He has a great voice! You know, everyone's entitled to their opinion, but it would be nice if people would be less judgmental and just enjoy the music instead of picking it apart.

@lrathner Idk.. I think allieistrble has got a point, staging seems alittle awkward, and the pianist is all over the place.. Not my favorite performance of this song.

Do you know what a "stager" even is? LOVE to see you post a utube of yourself and be open to eneducated critisim like yours. The guys is a successful cabaret singer in NYC, and a good friend of mine. I went to your page, Allieistreble and couldnt find anything there to look at.
