Terrible. My heart goes out to the families of the people involved in this accident. Nobody can understand the horror of such a disaster by just viewing the video. I was involved in a large steam boiler explosion years ago and it still haunts me. It is especially horrifying when large machinery such as this suffers catastrophic failure. The scale of the forces involved in tearing a large hydro turbine generator is staggering. I would not have wanted to be on the turbine deck.

rofl, what happened here is quite simple. The stock holders didnt want to pay for the upgrade so they just blew it up to cash in on insurance. I bet there was a small fire and it melted industrial grade steel... because that seems to happen now days.
