Hey man, AWESOME Job with that tune!!!! When I wrote it, everyone and their brother were doing their SRV tribute tunes and putting 'em out as part of their "all-instrumental guitar" releases. SRV was a huge influence on me as a player so I wanted to do one too. Obviously the title tells the story, but it was not meant to be disrespectful. I like to believe he'd laugh if he heard it.

@sorrydickhead i am practically convinced you are really not a music lover at heart, and stevie ray himself would be ashamed of people making comments like that on his behalf. stevie ray vaughan LOVED jazz. just listen/read any of his depthy interviews, he always mentions some strong jazz influences. did you also know that stevie ray released roughly 10 jazz songs on his albums? yeah. yeah. yeah. growing up is necessary in your case.

simple blues. have you ever heard the song "Stang's Swang" by Stevie Ray???? that is way more Jazz then you are playing here. (don't get me wrong, nice playing you are doing there, but dont like your topic)

Berkelee wouldn't have accepted Ol' Stevie; he wasn't much of a sellout, a jazzfreak, a crappy rock guitarist, a poor pop singer, or a stubborn classical musician.

also it bothers me how these haters can't recognize simple jazz chords or a (very) jazzed-up blues...
