@lordfumblesquid Yes, Helvetica can be found "ugly" by some people but it will be always smaller group than with any other typeface. That's why we call it "neutral".

Interesting Helvetica Font is considered neutral, so the meaning is drawn from the words and not the font.

Jaja, die Helvetica, die allermeistens verständnislos eingesetzte Schrifttype und gerade in diesem Video viel zu eng gesetzte. Die Moderne war das Abstrakteste vom Abstrakten vom neuen Zeitalter. Zum Glück ist dieser Faschismus vorbei. Es kam zum Beispiel Anfang der 1970er Jahre die Modern No. 20, sehr anspruchsvoll, aber wenigstens wieder differenziert. Frutigers gleichdicke Zeichen sind blutleer, tot.

I saw this last night at the Mayan in Denver CO. The film is great and we were able to have a Q & A with the director after. Interesting to see how designers now feel about the use of helvetica.

i heard this was a GREAT movie. my friend was just raving about it n is all ready to buy the movie....along with my boss. sad that i missed it.
