I use cubase with a motu 8pre firewire. How might I connect these little control units to my rig? The 8pre has midi in's.....

The CMCs are connected via USB, not MIDI!

I have a CC121. I wish it would work with other versions of Cubase besides just the AI versions. And the AI version it comes with is a limited version like an LE from what I can tell. Mine came with AI 4 and I would REALLY like to have the AI 5 version with pitch correct built in. And it isn't easy getting an answer from Yamaha with a simple phone call. You have to dig through mountains of forums on the steinberg site.

@songswedo Hi there, the CC121 does work with other Cubase versions! It works with all Cubase 4.5, 5 and 6 versions.

does it come with premappings for other daw's like ableton????? that would be THE controller of choice for me then...
