This is a performance of a traditional song by Robert Burns, national poet of Scotland, at the 144th Annual Scottish Highland Games in Pleasanton, CA, Sept. 5, 2009. (See www.songsofscotland.com for more about Ed Miller's music and schedule)
Burns wrote the song in 1795 when he was 36 years old. 'Robert Burns Day' is celebrated every year on January 25th ~ the Birth day of Burns over 252 years ago!
He is a cultural icon there and among the Scottish Diaspora around the world.

  • I saw Ed Miller on Long Island maybe 8 years ago.

He was so great, and really funny! I had a couple of his cassettes, but lost them over the years. I am so glad there are clips of him on youtube now. Thanks!

    A Man's a Man!
