Halifax Police beat up drunk kid

it was around 230-3 Saturday night, some of the bars were letting out, theres always commotion and what not happenin up and down the streets, but this weekend i was home and drinking by myself, so luckily i got to catch this. i didnt get the 1st minute or so because i had to run back in to get the camera after i realized somethin was goin on. and when i got out there my memory card was full so i had to delete it.
what you dont see is a group of a few other kids who i think were buggin this one being harassed by the cops. think they were sayin shit to the females in the group. when the paddy wagon pulled up they went down the little stairs there and down the street towards my direction. yellin, laughing, but the cops just focused on these guys. they arrested one and put him in the back of the van. next thing i know the cop is pushing this kid in the chest pretty aggressively. he pused him one time before i got the camera on him. then you see him do it a cpl more times and the kids saying stop that or please stop that or whatever. then the cop pretty much closelines the kid to the ground, etc. you see what happens. its pretty gross.

these cops know this is a party town, everyone goes out friday/saturday nights, gets shitfaced at the bars, then stumbles home. from time to time its to be expected id think that kids r gonna get mouthy or act silly. alcohol is legal, its legal to drink, then when the kids leave the bars for home theyre supposed to act like angels.
no compassion from the cops. they dont think ok this kids just drunk he just needs to go home, or be calmed down or whatever. this cop just treated him like he was his own age, 19 or so, and basically started a fight with him. pushing him like they were in high school. which is where i suspect a lotta this behaviour comes from with punk cops like this. they had a shitty time in jr. high/high school, got picked on, whatever. now theyre cops and aint taken no shit. fuck you little kid ill throw u to the ground and pounce on you. cuz i can.

there was once a time when police were respected. because they were there to do a job and they did it. they served their purpose. they were, and still are needed. to PROTECT AND SERVE.
not to police citizens, not to treat everyone like a potential criminal, not to treat young kids like little pieces of shit for no reason other than they are drunk.

im not saying cops are useless, fuck the police, blablabla. im saying police need to be trained better or they need to start hiring more intelligent people to become policemen. because what im seeing is just a bunch of power hungry complete pricks. abusing their power and walking around like a gang.

anyway, this is a perfect example of why police are hated, especially with young kinds.

btw the joke i made about the two brown skinned guys that walk by was sarcasm, in regards to cops and their usual treatment of those of the wrong skin colour. just in case anyone thought i was being serious, had to make that point.

@Coepan He's got the balls to post and keep transparency on the protectors of our civilized society, policeman. They have a lot of chances to abuse authority, if we don't watch them who will? I think we all know a "formal report" wouldn't get far. No actual violence was very visible to me ( i didn't analyze the video intensely) , just an implied use of excessive force on a drunk kid. Cops get tired of dealing with drunks, I get that, but they have to abide by the law they protect.
