  • Hi, thanks for your comment, we will get round to uploading some more Jake songs soon. May I also say how much I've enjoyed your versions of Sister Josephene and Castleford Ladies. Graet voice, keep up the good work.

  • salty not sooty

other than that grand cover of Jake.

  • Love the lyrics guys. Good work!

  • brilliant. try it again sitting down with a slightly slower tempo as mentioned above then it will be perfect.

many thanks, lightened up my day no end.

  • superb. very impressive.

the tempo is slightly fast but great vocals and guitar.

    well done and thanks.

  • Very nice version, guitar playing is excellent, post some more.

  • Jake's inspiration was from Jacques Brel and Georges Brassens. He took their styles and imported them into a personal yorkshire format that in the end had British appeal. He had a real passion. I like what I see you do but you don't have the same passion, I feel you're just doing a song and then you're off to get your next pint.

  • Hello Barry it's brillant but you don't say me! you singing and very well excuse me but you remember? my english........ I no, it's very bad. see you guilène

  • Nice to hear, good to see his songs being kept alive. Been a fan since the age of about 12, but then I'm 46 now.

    Nice cover.

Everyone does the comedy songs, what about "Working another man's fields", the poignant dread of loneliness writ through the cold snows of a windswept hillside. Give that a go.
