This is my one and only Ludwig Amber Vistalite John Bonham ReIssue Kit. The Bass Drum is 26"x14", the Snare is the Ludwig 402 Supraphonic Chrome 14"x6.5", the Toms are 14"x10", 16"x16", 18"x16". All the cymbals are PAISTE 2002 series. The Hi-hats are Sound Edge 15", the Crashes are 16", 18", 20", the Ride is 24". No muffling was used except felt strips for the Bass Drum (Front & Back). Thanks for watching. Keep Rockin'

  • where did you get the John Bonham symbol (3 rings) for the bass drum?

  • @thatonedrummer226 I had to make the symbol. I got a 10" REMO Muffle Ring and some black shiny poster board, I traced the Muffle Ring on the poster board and cut out each one. I then got some two way tape, and went around the back of the circles with the tape. Then strategically placed them on the drum head. That's it. Thanks for watching. Keep Rockin' JOEDRUMS2112

  • they do sound big, but damn they sound REALLY good. I'd say your tune job is spot on, and i've been listening to zeppelin w/perfect pitch for 30 years or so

  • @sonick808 Thanks for watching. Keep Rockin' JOEDRUMS2112

  • Joe, how much does a drum head affect the sound of a drum? I purchased a bottom to mid range Sonor kit a while ago. After watching numerous vids and reading up on how to tune drums, I still can't get a sound I'm happy with. I have played guitar for 30 years and have a good ear. The heads on the kit are probably pretty cheap and nasty - would buying expensive heads make a big difference? What would you recommend? I too am a big fan of John Bonham, his drumming inspired me to buy a kit.

  • @jadaras Yea heads make all the difference. I would get EVANS heads. You can go with white coated heads or clear. Just get G2's for the tops of the toms, and G1's for the bottoms. The snare head to get is a Power Center Reverse Dot. The bottom of the snare should be the Hazy 300 & The bass needs the EMAD. Check my videos on tuning to help you out. Hope that helps.
