  • Hi Karen! Excellent hula hooping! I just spoke with John aka UBI this morning. I was introduced to the hula hoop as a 3rd grader at Pearl Harbor Kai elementary school in Honolulu, HI when it was known as Territory of Hawaii. I used to take mine to school on the bus and they'd store them atop the overhead handrails. Great, inexpensive, beneficial invention of the 1950's. =) Warm regards, Brad
