On my mom, Anita's grave I had "On Tour With The Angels" inscribed. And she is there with them all..grandma, aunt Helen and aunt June. They were the best of friends. They worked together, vacationed together and gave themselves to the world for their entire lives. And in my heart, they are just on the biggest and best tour of all. Mom was very content singing with her family. She had no interest in being a star. I think that she felt a responsibility to her family. That was just the way she was.

Listening to Anita Carter has been one of the great joys of my life. Never was a better voice in country music, just love it.

Wow, what a beautiful voice! All of the Carter ladies had superb voices. Heaven is richer and we are poorer at their passing! I love their music!

@singasonglorriegirl I have come across your mother's lovely voice and wish that I had been able to hear her sing in person. Was she as warm as she feels to me in her songs?? I am sorry for her having passed and I feel for your loss, as my mother has also passed along with my father. 2 years ago today, which is this year's mother's day. I love the Carters, all of 'em, from the very beginning...but there's one fact that can't be denied: Anita got the looks and the talent. She should have been a superstar.
