Mind that if you defend ownership of these dogs, you help enabling the above shown. And you are indirectly responsible for every child that gets bitten.
These dogs are dangerous. "Liking them better" than less potentially harmful breeds is a weak excuse for allowing them. Its like driving a car which is dangerous for others (lets say: plastered with iron spikes) just because you like the look of it.
My aunt has been bitten as a child, with my 3 year old father standing by to watch it.

Yeah, and its them owners of pitbulls enabling this suffering. Would it be illegal to own them, there would be a lot less of these fightings. Not that easy getting animals this size across the border cheaply - and these fights are for the cheap people.
There is just no fucking need to tolerate dogs capable of this in a civilized society. Ownership of poison gas is also not allowed only because some people state they like the looks of the containers.

this is a rather big problem in the Tucson area....also cock fighting is a favorite for some.......I can't imagine the things I would like to do to those owners....
........and don't get me started on greyhounds........my friend adopts them and keeps 3 or 4.............the problems these dogs have,and the way they are treated, is unimaginable

It's heartbreaking. I was a groomer at PetsMart in TX, and 8 out of 10 of us owned AT LEAST one Pit bull. They are some of the greatest companions out there....I wish the media would chill out on their WITCH HUNT....focus on those negligent owners.
