Lydia. What could I say about her? I had only known her during the end of her very short life in the world of Skyrim. But from this very brief time, I've learned many things about her. Things that ChinchillaDave had expressed and shown in his videos about this marvelous companion. But that I never fully comprehended until I saw her interact with Dave in person. These things are this: she was a fine companion in every sense of the word. She could be a good distraction for enemies if Dave ever needed to run/slash a few times and then run. Or she could become the perennial punching bag for Dave in anger or just for shits and giggles (usually the latter). I had also found out about the many nuisances she has and her personality. Such as her annoying habit of getting killed by Dave's arrows in the heat of battle. Or the fact that she could be shouted off of a thousand foot mountain and still come limping back like an obedient lapdog. I will cherish learning these many things about her.

I was one of the brief few who witnessed Lydia's "death" in that cave during the Livestream. And I thought it right to create a tribute to her and her many deeds. Of all the times she spent with Dave, both good and bad.

So, here's to you Lydia. Forgotten but surely not gone.

  • yes please do it

  • She got killed by a freakin dragon priest for me. So I took her dead body and dragged it all the way to dragonsreach where I proceded to place her body in the jarls chair. Sweet.

  • I joined the stormcloaks and we invaded whiterun she helped me kill all those guards, until the last one killed her. Was the saddest moment of my skyrim gameplay. I MISS HER SOOO MUCH);

  • It made me sad to lose her, I often look behind to see if she is catching up, but she is nowhere to be seen. Of course, I can just keep loading saves and try to be more protecting of her. I love Lydia

  • i cried when i lost my lydia because i equiped her with eadric armor, sword and alike 20 dragon bones

  • Haha I like the date at the end of the description "born 28 November 2011 - died 13 December 2011"
