Hyundai Scoupe is a great car!
I have one... the mk1 1.5GLS from 93, with mitsubishi orion engine...
Mine ran 18s on 1/4 mile - stock power :)

I had a scoupe turbo as well, totaled the car in less than 3 months. Exactly on the 25th Dec of 1994 at 1 AM.

Rod Millen still has the "showroom stock" record at Pikes Pikes he set back in 94 with this car. Showroom stock!!! i had one of these Hyundais Scoupe Turbo , i had some extras like Buick GNX fuel pressure regulator , mustang 5.0 injectors , K&N filter ,ported and polished head and the internal wastegate in the turbo was welded shot to achieve 15 psi of boost , it ran 14.52 on the 1/4 mile , not bad for a 1.6 soch,12 valve engine. it was a sleeper. best bang for the buck. peace out!!

Yeah, as a matter of fact that is Rod Millen driving the car, i believe in early 90's PRE 94 that is. That car kick some but in the Pikes Peak open class.

hmm. different between videos is about 10 - 8 years :)
There was a saab of 800hp-900hp :) i cant remember but it was FWD also :) but everyone remembers Audi as a Monster of pike peaks and rally :)

Well and that's the poin. I wonted to show ratcher smoll car than 4wd monster with 700HP....the thing is that Hyundai is's not a car :) BUT it can handle diferent challenges....
