Well atleast it's good to know that you're one of those people who is still willing to try the games out and see if they're actually good or not instead of the other way around

@sonicfan1984 I actually haven't played any Sonic-exclusive games, besides the Classic Collection for DS (but I've only completed the first few Acts for the games in the collection) and the demo versions of Generations for the XBox 360 and the PS3 but I still want to play all of the other games. And I treat every game that I want to play with the attitude of "you can diss it all you want and I'm still going to play it and if you give reasons as to why the game is bad I just want to play it more"

The game is not even bad. This is one of those games that you have to play for yourself cause GI even said themselves that they don't like the Sonic games after 1994. If you're one of those people who has favorite stages outside of the classic era and don't mind the stages from SA1, SA2, Heroes, etc making it in and wants to see the stages and bosses redeigned in HD then check it out
