@ClevelandCameraRent Thats interesting about possibly the longer lens.I know the HPX370 has the same chip set as the 250 and that seems to be more light sensitive. So yeah it could only be the different lens.Which as I understand why most people didn't like the 200 as they wanted Panasonic to go with CMOS and match the Sony EX1 and 3.I was thinking of upgrading to the 250 I may now go with something else.

Gee dosen't seem to be that much difference.I was expecting a big jump. From 8 bit to 10,and from DVC PRO HD to AVC Intra 100.You also shot in only 720p for the HVX.I know that camera isen't full raster but I still find the 1080p stuff cleaner lokking as the codec goes from 40 to 100 mb/sec.The other thing is the HVX according to your test is more light sensitive.Which I know cannot be.The 250 has a CMOS chip and is more light sensitive than the CCD of the HVX.

@reticulan5 The zoom lens on the HPX250 seems to 'absorb' more light, I assume because its a much longer zoom, negating some of the light sensitivity of the CMOS sensor.
We'll post another test with the HVX200a recording at 1080.
