  • Hey. Great video. Explained very well. I am looking to get a die set for 30-06. If I get a set will it come with everything I need to do as shown here? Or what should I look for in a die set? Anything in particular I should know about with reloading 30-06?

    Thanks in advance.

  • @codybear56 the die set itself only comes with the things you see on top of the press. i would recommend buying seprate turret plates, four holes, doing so will allow you to have different calibers with out having to reset the previous dies

  • @flashperson Ok. So I have a press. You are saying get another spinning part on top where the dies screw into (which is the turret plate), so i do not have to unscrew the dies and mess up my settings?

Also, another question. Do all primers fit any cartridge? Because my grandfather used to reload .357. I have plenty of primers and we have the tool that seats the primers for .357. But will the primer seating tool work with a 30-06 brass as well?

Thank you very much for the response

  • @codybear56 yes, having multiple turret plates will make it way less time consuming and more enjoyable when you reload different calibers. and no primers are not one size fits all. you have large rifle primers small rifle primers magnum rifle primers, and same thing with pistols. you would just have to check with a reference source of which catrage uses what primers

  • What grane of bullet do u use with the 53 granes of imr?

  • @mohawksniper79 i do believe its a 145... ill look into it tomorrow, and ill get back. it is late and i dont want to walk all the way out to the shop. but if im not mistaken, its a 145 remmington jsp
