Any image quality loss during transfer? Has anyone done a test with a controlled lighting situation, camera on tripod shooting still subjects, and taking the exact same image on a regular card, then on the Eye Fi and seeing if the clarity or sharpness is the same? Please let me know

can nikon d3100 use this card?

You gotta make sure you've set your camera power setting so that it does not power off before it finishes sending the photo. If it powers off, it losses the wifi signal.

if the camera was designed to be 'eye-fi' compatible then battery drain should be very minimal. Otherwise any extra power drain will mostly come from the need to keep the camera on during the transfer process. The card itself I"m sure uses a little extra power compared to regular cards, but it should be very minimal.
