Doctor Who Paul McGann Series Opening

I watched the SHADA webcast on the Doctor Who site the other day, and the since the entire thing was animated in FLASH, I started coming up with ideas about an opening sequence for the Eighth Doctor, Paul McGann.

This one isn't that good. I'm probably going to re-animate the vortex and slow it down just a tad. This is a "prototype" sequence much like the very first Tennant 80s sequence I did. Its just to see if things work decent and to get a little feedback on it.

P.S. The theme used, as you may have guessed, is the opening theme from the 1996 Movie. I speeded up the music a little to sync the fast moving vortex. How the sound effects managed to sync up with the TARDIS appearing and the Doctor whooshing into the camera, I HAVE NO IDEA. That was just sheer luck on my part.

Anyone who's read the novels know how the McGann Doctor met his end?

@clay56 I've never listened to any of the audio novels except for "Shada," but to my knowledge I dont think the audio novels or paper novels ever covered anything regarding the Time War. Since the Time War element was introduced by RTD at the beginning of the Eccleston year in 2005, no previous writer knew to write anything about it. However, its roughly understood that Number 8 met his demise at the end of the Time War, and thus regenerated into Eccleston's Doctor.

@sixstanger00 In BabelColour's tribute to the Time war, it showed Paul McGann regenerate during the Time War. I much prefer that version.

@UDWF1 Yeah, this was purely out of boredom. Compared to my other animations, you can tell I didn't put much effort into this one.

I wish Paul McGann had more than one movie. Of course we have BFA 8th Doctor Adventures, but I would have loved more for the television.

Great video. Who's you're favourite Doctor? Mines Paul McGann. Don't get me wrong I like all the Doctors, but my favourite is the 8th.

i thought the eighth doctor was an amazing doctor for once movie, too bad they didnt do at least one series with him, or if paul mcgann is ready and up for it, he can quickly do a tribute series right now.

eh, the one on the David Tennant/Tom Baker style intro is better - those animations are at 60 fps. But thanks :D
