Oh, this is wonderful. Creepy and heartbreaking at the same time.

Beautiful! I particularly loved the ending, when he was crawling towards the lady. This was brilliant. :) It works on so many levels...you could even think of comparing Renfield to a sad, demented child, and Dracula as the Father Figure. Nice synching with the scenes that might resemble his being scolded at school. Kudos! Wonderful. :) Thanks! I'm a big fan of Dwight frye, too. :)

Wow, this is amazing!

Dwight Frye's acting is great, though, because of my soft heart and love for mad characters, he didn't struck me as creepy, but rather I felt admiration, mixed with sincere sympathy.
And must tell, dear TheSmilingShadow, that I liked your video very much. The song matched perfectly, it really shows that Renfield, whom Dwight Frye portrayed.

I recently became fascinated by such a character as Renfield, while I've read "Dracula" a long time ago. And then I learned about Dwight Frye, his fate (as an actor and a person) interested me so much. So I finally watched this classic adaptation (someone may be surprised that I haven't watched it before, but the fact is that I'm from Russia, where this film is more known by fans of film classics, horrors and, of course, vampire stories) .

I've said this about 10 times before but I think this is just brilliant. The best home-made video on youtube.

I still think this video has the best editing on all of youtube. If yt had awards I'd nominate this every year. I love how Renfield sits down on "sit and listen," and the shadow of Renfield on "I find it hard to tell you."
Very good! Almost too good to be on youtube!
They knew how to make movies back then. Holly wood just makes messes now-a-days.

Well I try and be a bit more optimistic about Hollywood these days. The funny thing I find about the older movies like this one is that it was still a new media and they DIDNT know how to really make a movie, so most movies back then were just wonderful because it broke down walls and took a step forward. But yeah, modern movies mostly do suck, but hey, Children of Men, The Fountain, Grindhouse, I love those. :)
