Sophie attended her first JRTCA Field Trial September 19-20 at "Jacks on the James" near Arvonia VA on the James River. She had never seen so many Jack Russells at one time before, and she had a blast. She wasn't always on her best behavior, but she met some wonderful people and a lot of great dogs. Thanks once again to Josh Woodward for the use of his instrumental version of "Learn To Fly" at the beginning of this video. (See http://joshwoodward.com ) We are also especially grateful to Dr. Charles Hickey and his wife Sally for their gracious hospitality in hosting this event.
We farmers even know to put prey scent at different points of the beginning of the earthdog event. Some real good Jacks that work on the farm won't go to ground if no scent is present.

I can't wait! I am just joining now! My Sassafras will finally get to be a "good" dog with all of those traits, rather than an "annoying jack" (i hear it all the time). I ABSOLUTELY CANT WAIT!!!
