This Was A Regional Smash Hit In The Spring Of 1967, But Only Made It Up To #95 On The American "Hot 100". This Garage Band Gem Truly Deserved To Be A Much Bigger Hit. Give It Up For The Woolies....!!
I've found a copy of The Woolies' first release on TTP Records! Look it up here on YouTube: The Woolies - Black Crow Blues.

This song went nowhere nationally but I remember it receiving a lot of airplay on the Boston Top 40 radio stations back in early 1967.

The vid was okay, but it could have used some clips from some vintage bike flicks (Hells Angels on Wheels OR The Wild Angels). This tune definitely reminds me of bikes and bike riders of the midSixties.

From what I read the record wasn't given the proper distribution and thus no one could buy it so it didnt become a hit.
