@EdinAmmar That's something a lot of people do: take Kurt Cobain out of context. They make him into a saint and make Courtney into the devil. It's bizarre. I don't know how anyone can be a fan of Kurt Cobain and not give him the dignity of acknowledging that he of his own volition married Courtney. I think that bottom line it just goes to the sexism in Rock music. Everette True write that he warned Courtney not to marry Kurt because she'd be vilified because Rock is sexist.

@coursestudent You're also spot on about these conspiracy theorists that swarm around Cobain's death. That judyleasugar person that commented you earlier on this video, for example, has actually accused me of being paid by Courtney Love to dispute her in the comments sections of YouTube videos. It's both funny and sad at the same time. It's like they would rather believe that CL is some dark, nefarious force controlling the entire world than accept that Kurt killed himself.

@TestMeatDollSteak There are some people out there like that Boddahism person who build their lives around celebrities. They get irrational about celebrities. They can’t accept closed case conclusions such as “he committed suicide.” It can’t be that simple. It has to be some sort of mysterious, unsolved conspiracy involving everyone from your first grade teacher to the Masons and Illuminati and the Reptilians who live underground and communicate with the Ancient Aliens.

@coursestudent Yeah, it's funny, because a lot of people out there assume that because Courtney isn't suing these people, that this must mean that she knows that they are right and that she doesn't want to risk bringing it out in court. I guess she's damned if she does, and damned if she doesn't. And there are actually videos here on YouTube that posit that Cobain is still alive, too, LOL...

@TestMeatDollSteak I don't really have any answers to any of this. If Courtney sued people, she'd only add fuel to the fire. People would say, "Why does it upset her when people say that? What is she trying to hide?" And, yes, just as there are people who say Elvis is alive (and now 2pac and Biggie have been added to the list), there will probably always be people who say Kurt was murdered -- and some who say Courtney did it. That's life. That's celebrity.

@coursestudent Ultimately, if things remain as they are, then I think that the conspiracy theories will persist for as long as people are listening to Nirvana's music. Kurt's become a deity and an icon, and his life and death are now fodder for speculation and over-analysis. In my eyes, Courtney *could* put a stop to some of this nonsense, if she so saw fit. If not her, then who else? She could take a polygraph, or sue the fuck out of people like Tom Grant and Ian Halperin...
