Princess Grace of Monaco (the former Hollywood filmstar Grace Kelly) suffered a stroke and subsequently crashed her car. She died on September 14th, 1982, when husband, Prince Rainier, gave permission for her life-support machine to be switched off. The funeral took place on September 18, 1982.

  • The end with Prince Rainier is heartbreaking.

  • Very sad and solemn. It must have been hard for Princess Stephanie, being in the hospital and not with the rest of her family while in mourning.

  • @iLovePrincessDiana36 Exactly. I can't believe he even said that. Anyways, the video shows that they truly loved her. :( They seemed very close-knit. I wish that William and Harry would've shown more emotion at Diana's funeral, but perhaps they had already done it behind closed doors.

  • We all die and say good bye to this dear life, only never to come back again.

So its more like you only got to live for something like 80 yrs and die for a trillion yrs.

    ENJOY LIFE!

  • Now THIS was a woman to respect, revere, mourn the loss of. There is no comparison between the two except that they were non-royals who married princes. But they were worlds apart and belonged to different levels. Princess Grace kept her dignity and held her head high. She gave up a successful career to marry Prince Ranier and leave her own country, friends etc. The fact that she was not a virgin was unimportant. She was Catholic, could provide an heir and was a grown woman who knew how to love.

  • @iLovePrincessDiana36 I cry everytime I see this video. He reminds me so much of my father physically and also his sadness equaled the sadness he endured when my mother passed away in February 2008.

  • this is awkward to watch. Just the ironicness of it all. Grace died of a stroke more than car accident injuries. But both were princesses who had accidents in a car and later died. This is really depressing to watch. I love them both <3 xx. R.I.P to both of the world's loveliest princesses!

  • @krugerfuchs- NO, the 'weak' internalize their problems and live like robots. Strong people are not ashamed to express their feelings as human beings, at an appropriate time of course.

  • @Endicottdude1 well they are people like everyone else

but then only the weak show emotion

  • May they rest in peace.

  • it was very moving to see royals actually show emotion.

  • The pain in the Prince's face was heartbreaking.
