I am a Master of Taekwondo 30 years of training. Yes a young child can be a Black Belt, because a Black Belt is not an expert. It is an advanced bigener. A young child can display never giving up, focus, spirit, and all the mental skills it takes to win in life.

I agree black belt is too easy now because of money grubbing. Hey, 15 year old who said you were a 5th degree....I am not sure Kukkiwon allows that. Are you registering with Kukkiwon?
I thought you had to be over 18 to test for 5th dan.

most little kids who have recieved a black belt so young have no discipline and not the right technique characterized and exemplified by a proper black belt

My tae kwon do school is old school. You can't test for a black belt till at least 13 and that still for a junior black belt, for a full black belt u have to be at least 18, none of this 8 year old black belt crap

@ricco976 Lol just because you can get a black belt in 2 years doesnt show that tkd is a joke. Im not sure how you take this but im now 16 and tesiting for my 5th degree. im pretty sure thats good for my age. I know its fast but in those 2day I trained at 5am before school 3:30-5 after school and 7-9 after that. I mean tkd was basically my whole day and thats why i did in such a short time period.

black belt in taekwondo meants shit anyone can get if have money these day I'm an old school black belt from when black belt meant something. It took me 10 years that 5 day aweek everyday to get my belt black 76 tourments,now you see black belts on 6 year old kids bull shit kids who don't know front kick from back kick suck the sport is gone to shit.I don't to train anymore scents they give me 2nd degree just to impove class size.I loved taekwondo it was my life
