I've been singing to this song for almost 15 years now! When I was a young hippie chick, always dressed in tie-dye and bell-bottom jeans, living in C-dale...I sang this song at parties many times. A small group would gather round and I would belt it out solo, others couldn't help but to join in:) Bob Marley's music will always bring people together, so let's continue to sing his songs! a song can be a place of refuge, from emotional, spiritual, and even physical oppression; I think the two artists most present knew that in a really humbling way. This song will be recreated in time come in different form as the opression comes characterized by different events, all you gotta do is Love and help sing :)
