(c) 1974 - EPIC RECORDS. A UNIT OF SONY MUSIC ENTERTAINMENT.

This was the first record to be released by Top Of The Pops dance revue Pan's People in 1974. A great piece of glam rock orientated pop written by Mike Batt featuring Cherry Gillespie on vocals, and Chris Spedding on guitar. The B-side was a synth rock cover of the Rolling Stones' "The Singer Not The Song". Despite the promotion it got, the record missed the charts due to some dodgy politicking. They later released another single in 1979 which didn't go anywhere either.

  • I don't understand why the record label and the radio stations didn't promote this song properly in the UK and Europe. They could have been the prototype Spice Girls or Bananarama.

  • it sounds very much like 70's rock singer Nick Gilder!

  • THank U very much for putting this on YOuTUbe-a historical rarity of one of the really great things to come out of the 70s-Pans people.

  • "Creep into my jungle if you know what I mean."

Yes, Cherry, I rather think we do.

  • Always wanted to hear this; it's so much better than I imagined. What's amazing is how easy it is to imagine either Girls Aloud or The Sugababes doing this. Guess Pan's People were more ahead of their time than anyone realised!

  • Brill.

  • Good but why are some out of focus?
