Disability issues must have a place in the presidential election. On July 26th in Columbus, Ohio, the disability community will host a historic non-partisan forum on national disability policy, featuring the 2008 Presidential Candidates (invited).

The forum will feature time slots for the presidential candidates to individually present their visions for the future of disability policy in America followed by questions by Judy Woodruff, news anchor and journalist ("The NewsHour with Jim Lehrer"), who will act as the Moderator.

We urge you to post your own video response or comment.

Tell the Presidential candidates that the disability community and our friends and family will - See you in Columbus!

  • Great video, Andy. Lead On!

  • Awesome video! I, too, invite Senators Obama and McCain to Columbus, Ohio Saturday, July 26, 2008 to tell us their positions on disability issues. We need to hear from both of you, and we need to know that you hear our thoughts and concerns, too. See you in Columbus, Ohio!

  • I think we can do that!

  • Let's break 1,000 views before Saturday!

  • Got to love CSI. Out of all the versions, the original is still the best!

  • Known any CSI fans? Tell them that Doc Robbins will be at the forum, too!

  • Or at delicious.

  • If you have an account at Digg, take a moment to help promote the video and the cause.

  • Obama will be sending Sen. Tom Harkin (D-Ill.) as a surrogate. Harkin is a disability policy advisor for Obama and also the author of the Americans with Disagbilities Act.

  • 655! Let's keep the views coming. Tell your friends about this video!

  • And now 581. Looks like it's working again, thanks. :)

  • Individuals with disabilities are, more often than not, a forgotten population. I realize that there are many issues to debate. But shouldn't any person who is running for the President of the United States step up and address the disabled? If a Presidential candidate will not consider us now, I bet that they won't after being elected either! Remember, some disabilities can not be seen; dont forget there are 51,000,000 of us. Mr. Obama, step up, and we hope to see you in Columbus!
