Ben My Chree First run in 20 years (Part 1)

Following successful overhaul and boiler test renewal, the first visit back to the water for Ben My Chree. Foxhills lake, New forest. (Southampton Model Power boat Club). A very successful run with donkey pump keeping up the water level after a little experimenting with pump speed and bypass setting. As you'll see the model has quite an impressive turn of speed - obviously not a scale speed!. Originally built as a semi scale straight runner, power plant was sized to suit straight running events, keeping it straight as an arrow. Now with radio control fitted, it is possible to potter about the lake (with relief valve popping frequently) or just open her up!!
