  • @bmelville It's good to be skeptical at our size. So many things I like can not bear my weight. I am 6'5" and weight even more. The chair worked perfect for me. I do not use it as much not that Philmont is over, but it works

My original chair had a different design and shortly after I bought it, it broke. As I bought it from REI, they allowed an exchange. Great Store. The replacement had a slightly improved design that stopped it from breaking. All of the new ones have this new design.

  • These chairs were on sale @ REI. I decided to blow $45 knowing it was a long shot because I've read the reviews of this chair on the net. The issue, as far as hefty fellas and for those of us with worn out knees, is not so much sitting in the chair, but getting out of the chair, once seated. This video would have been more complete (and humorous) if the camera kept rolling and we were able to see how kd5qdq managed to get up out of the chair.

  • @mu99ins Well said. I have had a full year experience with this chair now, so I am pretty good with this. Back when it was new, it would have been funny to watch me get out. Let's just say it is a good thing it is low to the ground.

    NEW TOPIC

I still love this chair a year later. I brought it to Philmont Scout Ranch. It was one of the best pounds in my backpack. I actually found a lot of these chairs at Philmont with other scouts and scouters.

  • Still holding up alright? I've considered buying one of these, but skeptical and nervous about the weigh limit on it. I'm 6'5" and 240lbs...
