Another humorous song by Mr. Frank Crumit. Along the same lines as Vernon Dalhart, great old time music, from the 1920's

  • Very good--never heard of Frank Crumit until now. I'm in the Bing Crosby fan club, and know many singers/crooners of that 20's, 30's era....guess I am a fan of Frank Crumit now. Great post--thanks for sharing--please post more if you have any Stephen Foster, my favorite, that would be great. Thanks!

  • Thanks for your comment. Frank Crumit is one of my favorites. I have a few more of his 78s, and I'll try to get them posted soon. I'm not sure on the Stephen Foster, but I will look through my collection.

  • with kind regards to "pantherboy", is that an accordion or aparlor melodion?

  • Your record would sound much better if played with a 78 stylus - you wouldn't hear all that surface noise.

  • One of his best. I like how the arrangement features accordion and then switches to guitar after the first verse.
