Dottie Rambo - Sheltered In The Arms Of God

This is an excerpt from an October 30, 2007 telecast. Dottie sang with a track taken from her new CD that WAS RELEASED IN SEPTEMBER 2009 AND IS AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE FROM http://www.dottierambo.net/store.html, that features (recently deceased) Porter Wagoner reciting some of the lines - very effectively. Emotion overcomes Dottie at the end, but of course the CD is studio-perfect. Jesus called Dottie's spirit and soul home about 2AM on May 11, 2008, when her tour bus crashed into a roadside embankment in Lawrence county, Missouri.

No offence meant, but Ms Rambo looks like she had a face lift over the years. Some of the You Tube shots of her from past years show a tired face which seems to have gotten fresher in recent years. Any comments?

Dottie's "tired" face reflected the constant pain she suffered due to botched back surgery many years ago. Any freshening of her appearance you may have observed was due to the joy she felt at being back on the road singing for Jesus, assisted by Larry & Judy Ferguson and Chris Barnes, financed by love offerings and merchandise purchases by her legions of adoring fans. Her trust in people cost her all her money more than once. Her soul is at rest now, waiting for her new face and New Shoes.

Yes! I introduced Dottie to my mother in 1970 and glowed with pride as I watched them embrace and heard Dottie tell Momma what a fine son she had. I'm pretty sure Momma has already found Dottie and asked her if she has seen me lately. How wonderful to know that it won't be long until I can be with both of them again. Sid

missing you Dottie Rest in Peace. She had a lot of pain and now she in sheltered in the arms of God. What an inspiration Dottie dedicated her entire life to serving the Lord. When she was a child she was going from church to church singing and writing songs. Not just songs but annointed songs.

We have lost one of the most Godly women on earth today. She suffered so much pain with her back but what an example of endurance when we give our pain to God. Dottie is singing up in heaven with Porter and Vestal today and what a rejoicing is taking place.

@LambadLambadLambda Beauty does not come from a face lift. It comes from the inside. Pain can create beauty or bitterness. But when going through severe pain, it is reflected in the eyes. Even denying it, doesn't change that. Have you experienced enough of life to understand that?

@SidsCardShop Dottie was suffering with severe pain and went through a terrible physical battle....Praise God that he restored her beauty with victory!!! Gees I wish some folks would not be so critical...She was suffering so naturally it is going to show on the flesh and on the outside.
