Most musical instruments look boring... It's a shame, really. Almost anything can be made better by making it fun... here we have one of the cutest musical instruments ever!

It's straight from Japan, and it's called the Otamatone Electronic Instrument. We'll give you a little idea of how this adorable thing works, we'll show you a little video of it in action, and then we'll set you off on your merry way to experiment creating your own songs!

The Otamatone is that perfect gift that you've been searching for. Fun and unique with a Japanese flavour, you and your mates will have hours of endless fun playing with this quirky musical instrument.

It requires two hands to control - one to open the mouth on the singing head, and the other to move up and down the neck of the musical note to change the pitch.

With two hands you can play practically every melody you want within range of one octave. You can change octave in three grades (fig. 03) low-mid-hi by sliding lower slider. With upper slider you can either turn off/on Otamatone or increase volume of Otamatone speaker.
